My Time With Tyronn Lue

So on my way back from Miami I had the privlidge of sitting next to one of the Celtics assistant coaches Tyronn Lue.

I talked his ear off for the 3.5 hour plane ride and he was a really nice guy, anyways here is what he had to say.

Of course I asked him about what he thinks about Miami and their chances. He wasn't buying the Heat this year, or next, he called them a token LeBron team that will own the regular season, but will falter in the playoffs. He said the Celtics are most likely just going to zone them up and let jump shooting determined the game and beat them up downlow.

Then after a rant about how I hate LeBron and how he's a scumbag. I asked him about what he thought of "The Decision" and he thought that was weird and ridiculous, and many NBA players were laughing at him, when he came out with that.

Then of course I mentioned the Delonte rumor and said did that travel around the NBA and if he knows anything about it. He said nope, but winked, so I'm going to take that as Delonte fucked the shit out of LeBron's mom.

He said everyone expected and knew that Pierce, Doc and Ray were coming back. So far he's impressed with Jermaine O'Neal and he hasn't been this excited for a season in a while.

A couple of Celtics tidbits:

Perk is the nicest guy on the team. He may look angry on the court, but he's the nicest on the team.

Glen Davis is in his own world, and they all constantly shake their heads at his twitter BS.

Paul Pierce is a leader when he wants to be and that he loves Boston.

KG is the hardest worker and the leader of the team. He wakes up at 5 am to start working out everyday, even on vacation.

Rondo is the biggest headcase when it comes to confidence.

Scal was the philosopher of the team.

He called Michael Jordan an asshole from when he played with him on the Wizards and loved working with Kobe, but Kobe wears on you.
