Red Sox won a thrilling game last night, and tonight they get Dice-K back. Looking for his first win since Aug. 5, Dice-K returns to the mound after missing his start Friday due to back soreness. Dice-K is a tough guy to figure out, at time he is unhittable, at other times he can't throw the ball over the plate, and at other times he gets crushed. He has allowed four runs in each of his last three starts, going 0-1 with a 5.31 ERA. Dice-K 3-2 with a 5.65 ERA in seven starts versus Baltimore, but is 2-2 with a 7.30 ERA in five at Camden Yards. Which is concerning.
Going against Dice-K is Brad Bergesen, who was terrible in the beginning of the season 0-7 with a 7.85 ERA in his first 10 starts, but has gone 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 6 starts since. I still don't believe he is very good, and the Sox need to take advantage of this 24 year old.
This game worries me with Dice-K's struggles in Baltimore, but I still can't pick against them.
