DC NFL Preview: NFC West

Arizona

2007 Record: 8-8

Offense should be very good this year, since they have finally decided to put Warner as the QB (yea, I hate him too, and his wife with her dyke haircut). The Cardinals probably have the best 1,2 combination at WR in the NFL, and that makes them very dangerous every week. Many people didn't notice that Warner threw for 27 TDs last year, and I actually believe he will have more this season. The question is if they can squeeze another year out of Edge. That I very much question, and I also think this defense is very shaky, so once again this will not be an elite team.

Predicted Record: 7-9


San Francisco 49ers

2007 Record: 5-11

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but this team is just awful. Frank Gore is solid, but he won't be able to carry this team. They have a lot of young guys, but the fact that Alex Smith is a complete bust has sent them back 3-5 years. Now, they have Martz running this offense, and what does he like to do? That's right, throw, and guess what this team can't do...throw. The WRs aren't that bad, but I have no faith J.T. O'Sullivan. They defense is very solid, and will keep them in games. Too bad they will be on the field all game.

Predicted Record: 3-13


Seattle Seahawks

2007 Record: 10-6

Now that they got that waste of space Alexander off the team, this team will be ready to make a jump back into the league of elite NFC teams. Hasselbeck is a stud, and I like all their options at running back. Morris and Jones can carry the load, and can catch passes (something Alexander could never do), while Duckett gives them a great goal line presence. I have some questions about their WRs as they have lost Bobby Engram to injury. Still, I think this team has a good enough defense to hold it together as they make a push towards the playoffs.

Predicted Record: 12-4


St. Louis Rams

2007 Record: 3-13

One of the worst teams in the NFL last year is looking to turn it around this year. Jackson ended his holdout, so that was the best news they could have gotten. The real question is whether this offensive line can protect Bulger. He is a good QB, and they have talent at WY, but if they don't have time to run their routes then they are useless. The defense is nothing special, but Chris Long should help that out some. If the "greatest show on turf" can't come back then this will be another sub par season.
