"Pitcher Erik Bedard and the Seattle Mariners agreed Tuesday to a $7.75 million, one-year contract that gave him a raise of $750,000 and avoided salary arbitration (Sportsline)."
Bedard was the ultimate bust last year, but a lot of that had to do with health issues. I actually think he is going to have a very good year. He might not get a lot of win, because Seattle's offense is so bad, but he will have a much better ERA, and get back to where he was with the Orioles. I really like Seattle's pitching staff. They have a kid named Morrow, who is going to enter their rotation, and this kid is an absolute stud. I actually will go as far as saying he is going to be better than Joba. Anyways, it's too bad such a good pitching staff will do to waste, since they can't hit the ball out of the infield.
