"The Indianapolis Colts have scheduled a news conference for Monday afternoon, presumably to announce the retirement of coach Tony Dungy. Foxsports.com reported Monday that Dungy will step down after seven seasons in Indianapolis. The news conference is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET at the team's practice facility in Indianapolis, although the Colts have not given a reason for their announcement (ESPN)."
I know DP doesn't think much of Dungy, but I actually think he is one of the better coaches in the NFL. He has been through a lot, and I can see why he would want to leave and be with his family. The Colts need to retool, especially their defense, and now they will have to do it with out their head coach. The good news for the Colts is that Jim Caldwell will replace Dungy, and he has been with the team for awhile, so they won't have to go through too much of a major change of strategy.
