Lions Name Schwartz Head Coach

"The Detroit Lions have agreed on a four-year deal with Tennessee defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz to be their coach (Sportsline)."

I think this is a solid choice for the Lions. Schwartz did a good job building a nasty defense in Tennessee, but I don't really think that coaching was the Lions problem last year. With this selection I really think the Lions will go with an offensive or defensive lineman. From what I have read this guy (like me) believes in building from the lines out. A good offensive line can make an average QB look very good, and if the Lions can buy their QB some time then you know Calvin Johnson will find some space. Solid selection by the Lions, but they have a ton of work to do.

Plus now we have another reason to make fun of the Lions...."I see that your Schwartz is as big as mine"...and so on.
