Youkilis Gets 4 Year Deal

"Boston avoided arbitration with Kevin Youkilis, agreeing to a four-year contract with the first baseman worth more than $40 million, sources told ESPN's Peter Gammons. The deal includes an option for a fifth year (ESPN)."

Great news for the Sox, since last time we heard they were very far apart on any kind of extension. Youk has done everything for the Sox, and his ability to play 3rd base along with 1st makes him an unbelievable asset. With Youk, and Pedroia locked up, and Lars Anderson waiting in the wings, the Sox are set for a very good infield for a long time (imagine if Lowrie becomes another Pedroia?). Anyways, great job Sox.
