Last night I said that I wasn't going to take this game seriously and I should have. This game was a lot closer than I originally thought it was going to be, but ultimately the Celtics beat that New Jersey trash. This game was a total team effort and although Pierce scored 31 points and hit a game-winning 17-footer with 20.9 seconds to play, everyone had a good game. The Celtics ran three well executed plays down the stretch to upend the Nets. Rajon Rondo added 20 points as the Celtics shot 61.2 percent from the field in beating the Nets for the third time this season. Perkins had 17 points and 13 rebounds. New York native Stephon Marbury was booed every time he touched the ball, and even though he didn't have any points he did play effective minutes. Either way it was a hell of a game.
It is funny how clutch Paul Pierce is. I trust him with the ball down the stretch than anyone I have ever witnessed in my lifetime.
