"Rockets forward Carl Landry suffered a gunshot wound to his lower leg early Tuesday morning in a possible drive-by shooting or failed robbery attempt, police told the Houston Chronicle. Landry, 25, was released after treatment at Memorial Hermann Hospital. A team spokesman said he suffered a flesh wound and is expected to be out of the lineup for one to two weeks (Sportsline)."
Usually when a story like this comes out it becomes clear that the guy put himself in harms way. This does not seem to be the case for Landry. A car hit him and he got out to check the damage to his car, when he got out he was shot. Thank god he is going to be OK and only miss a week or two. It was probably some punk trying to make a name for himself. Hopefully they catch the asshole and put him where he belongs.
