"Kevin Garnett will not return this weekend against Milwaukee and that coach Doc Rivers is saying the following weekend's road trip through San Antonio and Memphis is a better bet (Sportsline)."
That means Garnett's earliest return date would be March 20 in San Antonio, but I wouldn't count on that because they are playing back-to-back games that week, so he will probably be back on the 21st or later. Obviously the Celtics are going to struggle with KG, and Rondo out of the lineup, but in the end I still think it is smart to rest these guys and have them be 100% for the playoffs, rather then push them back. Even if they lose the top spot, I would rather have a healthy team that loses the top spot then a team an injured team that is in first.
