OK, here we go.
In this episode we find Jack, Kate And Hurley as they meet up with Sawyer. Sawyer now has to find a way to fit them into his lie, so that they will not be captured as "Others". This is all well and good except Sayid is running through the jungle. Jack and Co. are brought to the Dharma camp, where they are all given jobs. A little later Sayid is captured and labeled an other. Sawyer plays along with this to "keep the peace", so Sayid is put into jail.
Jack goes and meets up with his old hook up buddy Juliet. Problem is Juliet is banging Sawyer now. Sawyer sits down and talks to Jack and informs him that he is now the leader and he will do what he says. He tell Jack that all he did was react to situations, while Sawyer tends to sit back and think about it instead, which is actually a very strong point. Jack leaves with his tail between his legs, but we all know he will be back.
Meanwhile, Ben and Sun land with the rest of the flight crew. The problem is that they are in current times and not the 1970's. Sun follows Ben, so that she can find Jin, but after being confronted by Frank, she knocks out Ben. See they are on the other island, which is where Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were held captive in season 3. So they take a boat and head for the mainland. When they get there is it something straight out of a Jason movie. The camp is empty, and there are weird noise. There is only 1 man there...yup Jack's dad. He shows them a picture of Jin back in the 1970's and tell them they have a long road ahead.
Questions:
- How the hell are they going to get back to 1970?
- Why did Sun and Ben not travel back in time like Jack and Co.?
- Does Ben know what year it was? Did he know this is was going to happen and that is why he built the runway?
- What are they going to do about Sayid?
- Is there anyway they can get back to current times?
- Did anyone notice the blond woman in the background when they were with Jack's dad in the cabin, was it Claire?
- So is Locke also stuck in current times? What is he going to do now that his people are gone?
Theories:
- I think the reason Sun and Ben could not travel back was because they are already on the island back then. We saw Ben as a little kid, and I am not sure how Sun ties in, but this would stop a paradox from happening.
- Jack and Co. may end up being responsible for the "purging" of the Dharma people.
- I bet Sawyer is going to be forced to have to kill Sayid, and that is when Jack steps in.
- Obviously the arc of the season will be if the "Losties" can change the future/past. So they are going to put Faraday's theory to the test...my guess is that they fail to change anything.
Thoughts?
