- People are still trying to figure out why the Patriots were willing to take so little for Cassel and Vrabel. One of the theories is that they want to add Peppers to their defense. Peppers is one of my favorite players, but I don't buy this for a second. Their line already has Wilfork, Warren, and Seymour. So they seem to be set there. What they need are LBs and CBs. Also, Peppers is going to want way too much, and I just don't see the Patriots giving out that kind of money. Sorry, I think this is just Boston writers bullshit.
- T.J. Houshmandzadeh may be picking his team soon. The Bengals have put out an offer to him, that would make him better paid then Plaxico, but the Vikings just had a visit with him, and reports say that went very well. If I was him I would just get the fuck out of Cincy no matter what kind of money they offered.
- Nate Washington seems to be on his way out of Pitt, as the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are all going after him for his services. I always saw him as kind of a underachiever, but is a very solid 3-4 WR, and could fit in nicely with almost any team.
- Samari Rolle is demanding that he be let out of Baltimore, because he feels "he is not wanted". Rolle is 32 and there is no word on what kind of market there is for him.
- The Saints are going after CB Ron Bartell. He had a breakout year this year, and could be a nice addition to a Saints team that really needs to fix their defense.
