It wasn't easy buy Kansas is moving on. Collins scored a season-high 32 points, and Kansas needed all of it because NDSU's Woodside was a man possessed played all 40 minutes and scored 37 points. I have to say that NDSU is an extremely exciting team, and it is too bad they are out. Kansas now moves on to play the winner of the WV vs. Dayton game.
#14 Stephen F. Austin 44 #3 Syracuse 59
Syracuse has not won a tournament game in 5 years, but they were able to put those bad years behind them and move on to the next round. Syracuse never trailed in this game. Jonny Flynn scored 16 points, Rick Jackson and Arinze Onuaku each added 12 for Syracuse, and that was all they needed to knock out Stephen F. Austin, who went one and done in their first NCAA tournament appearance.
#11 Utah State 57 #6 Marquette 58
Fucking pissed, another one of my upsets goes down the drain. For the 2nd straight day my upset bid lost by 1 point. Anyways Utah St. played a hell of a game, and made a great comeback in the 2nd half. The difference was in the last min of the game Marquette hit all of their free throws, so Utah St. could get a chance to make the comeback complete. Marquette blew a 14-point lead, then rallied from a six-point deficit to win. PISSED!
#9 Tennessee 75 #8 Oklahoma State 77
Oklahoma State's point guard Byron Eaton found a clear path to the basket for a three-point play with 7.2 seconds left, which was enough to send the OK St. to the next round. Oklahoma State will play either East Tennessee State or Pittsburgh in the next round.
