(3) Cuse vs (14) Stephen F. Austin
Syracuse is a very offensive orientated team and Stephen F. Austin is all about defense. The players you want to look out for on both teams is Forward Johnny Flynn and thug/ girl beater Guard Eric Devendorf who are averaging 17 and 16 points. For Stephen F. Austin their stars are Center Matt Kingsley averaging 16 points and Forward Jash Alexander averaging 15. But like I said they are a very defensive team. S.F.Austin also has the smallest player in the NCAA in Eric Bell who is 5-3.
(9) Tennessee vs (8) Oklahoma State
This will be the most interesting game of the early games. Tennessee lost Chris Lofton who had a knack for the drama, but the still have Tyler Smith F 17.2 and
Wayne Chism F 13.8(who always is good for a few chuckles) and OK State who reminds me of that Villanova team a couple years ago because they have 4 amazing guards in James Anderson G 18.6, Byron Eaton G 14.1, Terrel Harris G 13.8, Obi Muonelo G 12.6.
(14) North Dakota State University vs (3) Kansas
Classic underdog story here, N.D.S.U can score a lot verse the defending champs. North Dakota State is led by G Ben Woodside who averaged 22 and F Brett Winkelman who averaged 18. For Kansas they have played terrific figuring they lost almost everyone last year. Kansas stars are G Sherron Collins and C Cole Aldrich averaging 14. I expect Kansas to win this easily.
(11) Utah State vs (6) Marquette
Marquette has been able to have an incredible year without star guard Dominic James, so this tournament will be difficult without them and starting with Utah State will be no easy task. The Utah State Aggies are led by Gary Wilkinson F 17.1, Jared Quayle G 12.9 and Marquette is led by Jerel McNeal G 19.7, Wesley Matthews G 18.4, Lazar Hayward F 16.1. The last time we saw Marquette was in the big east tourney where they lost a comeback at the last second.
