Fedorov Heads Back To Russia
"Former NHL most valuable player Sergei Fedorov is returning to play in Russia, 19 years after defecting from the Soviet Union. Fedorov, a winner of three Stanley Cups, has signed a two-year contract with Russian club Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the Kontinental Hockey League (Sportsline)."
This is the same league that Jagr left for awhile ago. Federov is washed up, and is nothing more then a role player. Washington will miss him, but his best years are far behind him. The KHL is getting stronger, but they haven't showed any real sign of being able to conquer the NHL. I don't think this is as big of a deal as some major sites would like to make it.
