During the game last night a camera caught Varitek having his shoulder worked on by the medical staff. Varitek and the Sox refused to comment on the situation, but there is obviously something wrong here. Tek has been slumping of late, and maybe this could have something to do. Even thought Tek is not very good, he still has some pop in his bat, and calls a great game. Boston really doesn't need him to start having shoulder problems, since his defense and game calling is what keeps him in a Sox uniform. We'll have more information when the Sox open up and talk about this.
