Michael Curry Fired By Pistons
"The Detroit Pistons have fired Michael Curry after his team went 39-43 in his first year as a head coach. Pistons president of basketball operations Joe Dumars said Tuesday a change was necessary. The Pistons were swept in the first round of the playoffs in four lopsided losses to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Dumars said after that series that Curry would return (Sportsline)."
Don't know how much you can blame this guy, since the team was getting old and then made one of the worst trades ever getting rid of Chauncey Billups. The Pistons do have a lot of cap room, so they are going to be big players in the free agent market this year. I guess they were thinking they would just like to start from scratch.
