Top 5 Rotations in Baseball

Since Buster Olney did his top 5 rotations of Baseball, I figured I would do my own because I have no idea what to write about.

1. Boston Red Sox
I know it's biased but it's also true. The Red Sox have a retarded line up and it begins with Jon Lester, Josh Beckett, John Lackey, Dice K, Clay Buchholz, and Tim Wakefield.

I get worried about Josh Beckett to be honest, he's not my favorite player and believe he is highly overrated. If I were the Sox, I wouldn't even resign him, but since he is in a contract year hopefully he is unreal. Lester is arguably the best pitcher on the staff but needs to have a year that puts him in the "Ace" talk. John Lackey I expect to have 15ish wins, but the back end of the rotation will really decide on how good the team is. If Dice K can return to his 18 win form and Clay can continue to grow, the Red Sox might be able to pull off this strong rotation, strong defense thing.

2. New York Yankees
CC Sabathia, A.J. Burnett, Andy Pettitte, Javier Vazquez, Phil Hughes or Joba Chamberlain.

I hate the Yankees rotation to be honest. CC and AJ will do their things, but I think Pettitte is due for a off year (even though I've been saying that for years) and the Javier Vazquez experiment has already failed miserably. Phil Hughes and Joba are huge risks as well.

Get ready for a down year for the Empire.

3. San Fransisco Giants
Tim Lincecum, Matt Cain, Barry Zito, Jonathen Sanchez, and Madison Bumgardner

I love Linc, Cain, and Bumgardner's potential. Zito and Sanchez are both capable enough to have decent years. The problem is their offense, but since this about pitching staff I will leave this alone.

4.Phillies
Roy Halladay, Cole Hamels, Joe Blanton, J.A. Happ, Jamie Moyer

Roy Halladay will have at least 22 wins this year, and in the National league thats all you need to be considered a contender.

5. Cardinals:
Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, Kyle Lohse, Brad Penny, ?

Again, 2 good pitchers on a team makes you a good team in the NL.
