114 Nuggets, 105 Celtics
I'm not so mad about this loss. The Celtics gave all they possibly could, they are coming off a road trip in which they went 3-2 and you could tell they were running on empty.
The first quarter was a disaster as the Nuggets run up to 37-19 lead. However the Celtics we able to chip away a 20 point lead and actually tied it up at 66. It was also pretty obvious Paul Pierce's thumb was hurting him as he scored 5 points on 2-10 shooting and went 1-4 from the free throw line.
Ray had another good outing going for 25 points, however he was the only one to keep the Nuggets defense honest with hitting the only 2 3 pointers of the game. Rondo once again finished with another double double with 15 points and 11 assists, but looked very tired. (I know, I'm shocked I said that too) And Marquis provided a spark off the bench dropping 15.
But at the end of the day, J.R. Smith just hit dagger after dagger and the Celtics couldn't keep up. I know this is a little weird to say, but it was a quality loss.
