WEEI is reporting that the Patriots have just signed David Patten. This isn't really much of a big deal, as he is not a top receiver or anything, but I was a big fan of him when he was the Patriots a couple years back. So, at the very least I am excited about this. Patten signed with the Cleveland Browns for the second time on March 23, 2009, but was released on September 5, 2009, and that just about did it for his season. I don't think he has anything left, but I guess he could be some sure hands off the bench.
