Paul Pierce is considering taking time off to let that bothersome thumb heal.
Good 2-10 shooting performances and 1 for 4 on the line is going to hurt the team, more than help the team. If Pierce takes a couple days off he will not risk slowing down the recovery process, as well as letting Nate Robinson get a little bit more comfortable in the line up. At this point everyone has to accept the Celtics are a 3 or 4 seed and the main goal should be healthy for the second season(playoffs queers). The Celtics are still a decent team without Pierce in the lineup and should be able to beat the Knicks today.
