“Tremendous progress” has been made on a new contract for Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, and the deal is close to being done, according to sources close to WEEI’s “Dennis & Callahan” show. I am glad this is getting done now, because I am really already sick of this talk. There was never any chance Brady was leaving here, saying that I am a little surprised if this is indeed the contract. The money seems about right, but I would've expected a longer deal. Then again, length of a deal really doesn't matter in the NFL. Now if only they would spend some money on the other side of the ball.
