Texans 34, Colts 24
This I guess was the shocker of the week to many of us and the Texans finally got over the hump of Colts due to the ridiculous week Arian Foster had. The young back out of Tennessee had 231 rushing yards and 3 TDs and the Colts couldn't find an answer. Peyton Manning had a game himself throwing 433 yards and 3 TDs, but it wasn't enough as the Texans try to take reign of the AFC South.
19 Bears, 14 Lions
Pretty bad week for Detroit and all of my fantasy teams that I based on Detroit this year. Matthew Stafford injured his shoulder and is said to be out 4-6 weeks with a torn right shouder, then this gets called as an incomplete pass in the endzone and screws the ions out of a victory. Probably the worst week 1 any team has had ever.
27 Green Bay, 20 Philly
Probably the second worst day belongs to the Eagles who lost their starting QB, and their pro bowl fullback to this injury. The Packers started off very strong offensively, then both their offense and defense fell apart to make this a game. Their is sure to be QB controversy next week after the great game Michael Vick had by throwing for 175 yards and a TD of 16/24 and rushing for a smooth 103 yards. Michael Vick just reminded the NFL who Michael Vick was and Kevin Kolb depending on the injury will be scrutinized severely for every mistake he makes from now on.
Steelers 15, Falcons 9
The Defense was spectacular and Dennis Dixon and Rashard Mendenhall did their jobs in not losing, so I'm happy with this W. Only 3 more games til Ben comes home. In overtime Mendenhall was able to break a 50 yard run to put him at 120 for the day and the Steelers at 1-0.
13 Redskins, 7 Cowboys
The Cowboys made 2 mistakes and that's why they lost. First at the end of the half Tony Romo through Tashard Choice a swing pass, only for him to fumble it and DeAngelo Hall picked it up and ran it in for a TD and with no time on the clock Tony Romo hit Roy E. Williams in the endzone which was thought to be a game winning TD only to be called back due to holding. Huge win for Donovan and the Redskins.
