Red Sox @ Mariners
Clay Buchholz looks to bounce back from a couple of bad starts. It looked like Clay might be in the the hunt for the Cy Young for awhile before posting an 0-2 record and 5.40 ERA over his last three starts. He should have a very good chance of rebounding against the Powerless Mariners and David Pauley.
Pauley is 0-3 with a 5.55 ERA in his last four starts while getting one total run of support. The Sox should be able to put up at least 5 runs against Pauley, so the Sox should have a cake walk tonight, which would be a sweep. It's too bad it's too little too late as the Sox are still 6 1/2 games back of the Rays for the AL Wild Card.
Still, I find it interesting to see some of these young guys play. With so many guys coming through the system lately there's a good chance these could be the guys we'll be watching for the next 5-6 years.
Sox win 6-1
Player of the Game: Clay Buccholz
Game starts at 6:40 on NESN.
