It hasn't happened yet, but don't be surprised if Portis losing the starting RB job with the Redskins. They are currently 28th in the NFL in rushing, and they seem to be losing patience.
Now there is word that Portis might just be the 3rd down back from now on. Shanahan says he will start, but things might be turned over to Ryan Torain soon, which I find hilarious considering this team had Willie Parker, Larry Johnson, and Portis all on the roster to start the preseason.
Portis only has 140 yards on the season, so a change wouldn't surprise me, but if this offensive line doesn't improved it's not going to matter who is in that backfield.
