Evan Longoria Injury Update
"Longoria has not played since September 23 due to a strained left quadriceps. While manager Joe Maddon thinks Longoria will play at some point this weekend against Kansas City, he also will not hesitate to sit out his star third baseman until the playoffs if the injury is not sufficiently healed (ESPN)."
It sounds like he will be back, but injuries are going to play a huge part in these playoffs. The Yankees need Pettitte healthy, the Rangers need Hamilton, and the Rays need Longoria. I hope all of them are able to play, because I hate excuses, and if everyone does play we could be looking at a real good playoffs (even without the Sox in it).
