Josh Beckett pitched through his side session today, and the Sox say it is all systems go for Game 3. Great news for the Sox, and with a win last night it will be great to have Beckett pitching the first game at Fenway (maybe for the close out game?).
"He ended up with 67 pitches, which is a pretty aggressive side, but I think we probably needed to do that," Red Sox manager Terry Francona said. "We'll monitor him as we go, but the medical people were out there and I think we were very pleased with the way things went (Sportsline)."
I have not seen any news on Lowell, who looked to be in some pain at the end of Game 1, but I will put it up as soon as I hear.
