Preceding tip-off in San Antonio, Los Angeles Sparks forward Candace Parker will receive the league's Most Valuable Player award, The Los Angeles Times reported. Parker would become the first WNBA player to win MVP and the rookie of the year award in the same season.
How badass is she? My dream girl tore it up in college and didn't miss a beat in the Pros. She averaged 18.5 points on 52.3 percent shooting from the field, a WNBA-best 9.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocked shots in the regular season and leads her team into the playoffs vs the San Antonio team. I mean she is probably going to win the title as well.
Oh yea she won a gold medal in the Olympics as well.
