Kendrick Perkins was able to get back on the court yesterday and practice with the Celtics for the first time since his right shoulder surgery. Doc Rivers said "Perk fouled a couple people hard. He threw a couple elbows. I saw three or four people grabbing their face and saying, 'Wow, Perk must be back.' So that's what he does. If Perk said he's going to play, he's going to play. Who am I to fight Perk? I don't know how much, but he'll play (Boston Globe)." Obviously great news for the Celtics as they have a lack of depth at the center position. It sounds like he will be ready for the regular season, as long as they shoulder holds up.
