This guy thinks so.
I am sick and tired of people defending this mediocre coach. Yes, he won two World Series in 90 years. Yes, he managed big personalities, but who cares? Coaches are suppose to manage personalities and win.
This offseason has pushed me over the edge with Terry Francona. Grady Little got canned for screwing up a lot less than Francona has. Francona single handedly lost game 2 and tonight's game. Beckett obviously shouldn't have been left in the game (ahem Pedro) and obviously Wakefield shouldn't have started over Paul Byrd and maybe Dice K. I love Wakefield and he may be my favorite pitcher on the staff but going against a hot hitting/ fast Tampa Bay team is ludicrous. Also, some more ridiculous moves are playing Jason Varitek and Jacoby Ellsbury. Cash played today and guess what? He produced. I know you have to play Ortiz (even though he is as useful as me) but you can't bench him because of who he is. Managers like Torre, Hurdle, Guillen, Wedge, and Maddon are twice the manager that Tito is.
If it was up to me, Francona, John Farrell and Theo would all be gone next year.
That's if they lose.
