Daily Teixeira Update
With the Angels and Red Sox stepping out of the Teixeira race, the Nationals have upped their offer, some reports have it at 9-10 years $180 million. This obviously would beat the Sox offer (in terms of length. I really don't see him taking this offer, and being on a team that sucks for the next decade, but who knows when Bars is his agent. The only way I see Teixeira going to the nationals is if they give him an opted out option in year 3 or 4, but I don't think the Nationals are that stupid. If Teixeira doesn't take this offer in the next day or so, I think the Sox are right back in this race.
