McNamee Sues Clemens
"Roger Clemens' former personal trainer has filed a defamation lawsuit against the seven-time Cy Young award winner, the New York Post reported Tuesday. Brian McNamee, who told federal investigators that Clemens used performance-enhancing drugs, claims the Rocket libeled and slandered him following the release of George Mitchell's report on drug use in baseball. McNamee is seeking $10 million from his former client, according to a summons filed in Queens Supreme Court last week (Sportsline)."
I hate Roger Clemens, but this is wrong. McNamee was right in the middle of this whole steroid thing, and he shouldn't be rewarded for being a rat. He is no different then Canseco, and I really hope he ends up just as lonely. Clemens (I believe) will eventually go to jail, and will never be allowed into the Hall of Fame, but you can't sue a guy, when you are the rat and just ran Clemens' name through the mud.
