Bad Time Off For Bruins?

The Bruins went into the game in New Jersey looking tired, and letting their once massive Eastern Conference lead dwindle, but after playing with such intensity against the Devils some are asking if this time off is a bad thing. On the one hand it is, because the Bruins did so many things right in that game that they weren't doing in months. You would hate to see them slide into their old ways. They were dumping, chasing, and hitting hard. Now not playing till Saturday, will they have that same kind of killer instinct?

On the other hand, they were looking tired before that game, and even though they played well against the surging Devils, it doesn't mean they could keep it going. Players like Ryder, Rechhi, Chara, and Savard could use these days off. Some of the young guys who were tearing it up earlier in the year have been far less effective lately (Kessel, ect). So maybe this time off will be exactly what they need to recharge their batteries and be ready for what I hope is a long playoff appearance.

It remains to be seen, but it will be very interesting to see how the Bruins come out and play after so many days off.
