Duke Ties Record for Most Wins EVER

In a Decade.

With Gerald Henderson's masterful performance in last night's game against FSU (he scored 9 points in the final two minutes including a badly needed three ball to put his team up for good), Duke moved into a tie with Kansas for the most wins in a decade by a D1 Basketball team.

268 wins in a decade. Only one other team can claim this feat and it shouldn't be long before the Blue Devils put some space between Kansas to solidify the record. UNC has 261 this decade so the only way for Duke to be topped would be for first round losses in both conference and NCAA tournaments. I would not put this past Coach K teams of late but I don't know, something tells me we might make a run at the Elite 8 this year.

On a side note, it was awfully emotional watching GP3 slap the floor at Cameron one final time. You want to talk about a true blood and guts type of guy. A 9-5, blue collar type that would fit in well on any Boston team but definitely a Belichick run one. A guy who lost his starter's job at the beginning of the year and took it like a true team player, staying in ready mode and always coming off the bench to wet monster threes right when the team needed it the most. If athletics are not in his future, there is always a spot open for him at the end of K's bench, right next to Wojo and Collins.
