"The reports on Kevin Garnett are good. On Feb. 21, it was said the strained right knee would keep him out 2-3 weeks, and the first of those mileposts is approaching Saturday. But while Garnett has been jogging and working on his outside shot to maintain his touch, the feeling around the team is that he should proceed cautiously. “He’s moving a little better,” Rivers said. “I haven’t heard anything (regarding a return to practice).” The coach said Garnett “hasn’t done any work on the court, as far as we know. It doesn’t mean at midnight he’s not in here doing something, but as far as we know he’s not on the gym floor.” Rivers probably was referring to cutting and other such movement. Garnett is not about to put his shot on the shelf for an extended period of time (Boston Herald)."
We all know this is not a serious injury, and the Celtics just want him to take some time off, but it is still good to hear that there are no setbacks and it seems like he will be back soon. I think when Garnett comes back that he is going to explode. As much as he hates it I really think he needed this time off, and the Celtics did the right thing to make him rest before the playoffs.
