The Boston Herald reports that Tuesday's surgery on Julio Lugo’s right knee was a success. He will be out of action for the next three to four weeks.
To be honest I am glad he got hurt. I like Jed Lowrie a lot more. I feel like he could be another Pedroia type player (no I don't think he will win an MVP). Lugo is getting older and is falling apart. His power is basically gone, and his SBs are on the decline. It is not like Lugo is awesome in the field or anything either. At worst at least Jed Lowrie has a much better name.
