"Offensive lineman Russ Hochstein has agreed to terms on a one-year deal to return to the Patriots. Hochstein, 31, enters his ninth NFL season in 2009, and seventh with the Patriots (Boston.com)."
The Patriots had to resign this guy, because he can fill so many spots. Hochstein can play center and guard and also has duties as a backup long snapper. With Paxton gone he might be doing a lot more of the long snapping. He is just a good guy to have on your team, and it makes you feel good that he can fill in for so many different positions, since the pats usually only carry 7 offensive linemen on game days.
