"According to a league source, the Patriots have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with free agent cornerback Leigh Bodden (Boston.com)."
The Patriots needed to revamp their defensive backs, and over the past couple of days they have done a hell of a job doing so. Bodden has all the tools to be a hell of a player, and really only struggled last year, because the whole team sucked. He is only 27 years old, and now the Patriots have a decent defensive backfield with Springs, Bodden, and Hobbs. Hopefully those three guys (and maybe Wheatley) will improve a Patriots defense which saw only the Arizona Cardinals (36) allow more touchdown passes than they allowed (27). I said they needed one more CB, and I believe they got the right guy. I like his size ( 6-foot-1-inch), which will give the Patriots another option when playing a big WR. I love Hobbs, but some guys are just too big and strong for him.
