Lowrie Goes On DL

"One week into the season, the Red Sox suddenly have a shortage of shortstops. Joining Julio Lugo (right knee surgery) on the disabled list yesterday was Jed Lowrie, victim of a sprain in his left wrist, the same one with which he played with a hairline fracture late last season (Boston Herald)."

I know a lot of people are already freaking out about the Sox, and DP is probably starting his little fire Francona cult, but I hope people don't freak out about this. I view SS like I view catchers, if you are relying on them for hits then your team sucks anyways. I see very little difference between Lowrie, Green, and Lugo. They all bring some different things, but in the end are no better then a 8 hitter, and if the Sox want to get it going it is going to have to come from the 1-7 hitters, not the 8-9.
