Matt Hunwick Update
Matt Hunwick, who is recovering from an emergency splenectomy April 18 after taking a hit in the B’s opening playoff game against Montreal, said he’s lost 14 pounds off his 193-pound frame in the aftermath of the surgery. Obviously it will take him some time to be able to get back that weight and be able to practice with the team. Still, there is some hope that if the Bruins were able to go deep into the playoffs that he would be able to come back. I can only see him coming back if they make the finals, and even that would have to be a question. The Bruins just have to be happy that he is ok, and with Ference back the Bruins have the depth to be able to continue on without much of a problem.
