Celtics vs. Bulls: Game 3
The Celtics have obviously been bitten by the injury bug to say the least as KG and Powe are out for the playoffs. Still there are some positives out there that the Celtics can win this series. For one, the only reason the Bulls won game 1 was the fact that Rose had the game of his life (36 points). I do not see him putting up the number again in this series. Furthermore the only reason the Bulls were in game 2 was because Gordon had the game of his life (41 points!), once again I don't see him being able to do that again.
After considering all that think about the fact that Pierce as basically been no where to be found in this series. You know eventually if he needs to he will take over. Allen got it going in the 2nd half of game 2, and should be able to continue that against a very poor Bulls defense. Rondo, as long as his ankle can hold up, has been great this series, so overall the Celtics should be in very good shape.
Celtics need to keep dominating the glass as they did last game when Boston had a 21-8 edge in offensive rebounds, and a 32-12 disparity in second-chance points. If shooters like Pierce and Allen get second chances, you know they are going to get hot. The Bulls will come out fast tonight, but if the Celtics can control the flow of the game, and the boards, then Boston should take control back in this series.
Game is at 8pm on TNT.
