Red Sox @ Yankees Preview

Well you know Fenway will be going nuts tonight. It's Friday, it's finally warm, and the Sox are playing the Yankees. We get a very good pitching matchup, as the Yankees send out their young gun in Joba, and the Sox counter with Lester. There are obviously a lot of story lines, but the most talked about will the Teixeira's first game as a Yankees at Fenway after doing a 180 on the Sox and joining the Evil Empire.

Joba to me has been a lot of talk, and very little to back it up. So far this year he is 0-0 with a 5.06 ERA, though he has only pitched two games. He really had 1 bad start, and 1 good start. The Sox need to be patient with Joba, and make him throw some pitches. he usually does not make it deep into games, and I am not very impressed with the Yankees bullpen.

Boston has been on fire lately scoring 17 runs in the two games against the Twins, and are riding a 7 game winning streak (which already ties them with their longest last year...yea I was surprised too). Lester had two very poor outing to start his season, but looked liked an ace against Baltimore going 7 scoreless innings compiling 9 strikeouts.

Should be a great game. First pitch is at 7:10 on NESN.
