Delgado Injury Update
"New York Mets slugger Carlos Delgado will have arthroscopic surgery Tuesday on his right hip, and there's no immediate word on when he might return to the lineup (Sportsline)."
This is basically the same injury that A-Rod is coming back from. A-Rod was out exactly 2 months, so you would think that Delgado will be on a similar schedule, though there is a part of me that think that he will take a bit longer because of his age. Delgado had a hell of a season last year batting .271 with 38 home runs and 115 RBI, and this will obviously affect hurt the Mets offense. This year Delgado is hitting just under .300 with 4 HRs and 23 RBIs. I think he will be able to battle back,. but it is going to be a slow process and you have to worry about how much more this 37 year old body can take...
