Kevin Garnett To Have Surgery
"Celtics president Danny Ainge told the Globe's Frank Dellapa tonight that forward Kevin Garnett would have surgery sometime next week on his knee. Garnett missed 24 games and the postseason with a sprained right knee. The Celtics have said the All-Star would have right knee bone spur surgery that had been postponed previously in the hope that he could get healthy enough to play in the postseason (boston.com)."
Sounds like very minor surgery and Doc came out and said that he does not expect KG to be out very long after the surgery. Owner Wyc Grousbeck said today that he expected Garnett to be back at full strength next season. It will be interesting to see how he bounces back next year. You can see some of his skills declining, and the Celtics will be another year older, but the window is still open, so hopefully everyone can stay healthy next year.
