Rangers @ Red Sox Preview

The Rangers have a terrifying offense, but what has done them in during their current 8 game losing streak at Fenway is their pitching. Today the Rangers are going to have to continue to play without one of their best offensive players as well, as Josh Hamilton is still trying to fight his way back from a sports hernia. The Rangers might need ever bat they can get their hands on as last time they came to Fenway the Sox scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Tonight Texas will try their luck with Kevin Millwood, who has a 3.38 career ERA in Boston. The Sox are red hot riding a 4 game inning streak. Boston counters with Brad Penny who has been much better lately. Penny is 5-1 on the season with a not so impressive ERA of 5.63, but has not let up more then 3 runs over his last 5 starts. The Red Sox have hit .302 and averaged 6.3 runs at home this year, which is something that has certainly helped Brad Penny.

This could be a real high scoring affair, but Boston is extremely good at home posting a 17-6 record at home. Game starts at 7:10pm on NESN as long as the rain doesn't fuck it up.
