Tuesday is a huge day for Ben Sheets. He has been looking for a much bigger contract then I think he deserves, but is he comes out and shows that he is healthy, and has a good live fastball you might just see someone overpay for him. There have been a lot of rumors teams like the Mets, Rangers, Yankees, Blue Jays, and Orioles. My thinking is that the Yankees are out, since their team is basically set except for a left fielder. The Mets really shouldn't be just gambling, but then again they REALLY need some starting pitching. I still think the Orioles will land Bedard, so that leaves the Rangers and Blue Jays. The Blue Jays are rebuilding, so I really wouldn't suggest this signing unless they can get him cheap. That leaves the Rangers, which is where I think he will end up. The Rangers have already made one "risky signing with Rich Harden", but if he and Sheet worked out, and with the young players, and fantastic offensive lineup this team could be a real threat.
