Bergeron Out 2-6 Weeks

"Boston Bruins star center Patrice Bergeron could be out anywhere from two to six weeks with a thumb injury, a source told ESPN.com Tuesday. The same source said Bergeron still had to see a specialist later Tuesday and that would more precisely determine his absence. The 24-year-old Bergeron took a Dennis Wideman shot on the hand in Monday night's loss at the New York Rangers and returned to Boston on Tuesday morning for medical tests (ESPN)."

The Bruins just can't stay healthy, and neither can Bergeron. This is really too bad. Bergeron had been by far the Bruins best forward so far this season, with 31 points. The good news is that none of the injuries the Bruins have sustained are season ending, and the Bruins still have a lot of time to get healthy and everyone on the same page before the playoffs.
