"Florida was expected to lose a pair of starters to the NFL draft on Monday, as center Maurkice Pouncey said he would enter the draft and a source close to defensive end Carlos Dunlap told ESPN's Joe Schad he would declare for the draft on Monday.
Pouncey added his twin brother Mike plans to stay in school, possibly taking over his position.
Dunlap, who had 38 tackles including nine sacks for the Gators this season, is projected as a first-round pick. He's considered the No. 3 junior prospect at defensive end by ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr (ESPN)."
I think this is a smart move. Florida is going to have to rebuild, and who knows where this program is heading with Meyer somewhat retired. Dunlap should be a middle of the first round pick. A team like the Patriots would love to get their hands on this kid. He is fast, and can get to the QB. He did have some off the field issues with a DUI, but that should be put behind him and not affect his draft stock too much...
