Weis Signs With Chiefs

"Charlie Weis has agreed to become the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, according to team and league sources. Weis could be named to the position within the next 24 to 48 hours, the sources said.

"Until a deal is done, I really can't say anything," Weis said from his home near South Bend, Ind. "It's not to be disrespectful of you or the Chiefs. I just think it's really, really important for me, especially with the prospect of there being a relationship there, to make sure I handle this properly (ESPN)."

What a great signing by Scott Pioli. Wies was not a great head coach at Notre Dame, but the guy is a proven winner as an offensive coordinator. It will be interesting to see if the next Chiefs' move is to sign Romeo Crennel as the defensive coordinator, because that's exactly what I would do if I was the Chiefs.
