Why Hockey Blows..... Again

We had a discussion a little time ago, that I think fighting in Hockey is stupid and ruins the game. I'm going to get in further detail about this in a segment I call:

The real problem I have is about fighting in the NHL and the notion that it is "part of the game" or "belongs" in the game. That sounds stupid to me. Every other of the 4 major sports have ways of protecting their players without throwing a punch or wasting a roster spot on a goon.

All fighting does is a pathetic way for the NHL to put asses in the seats. It takes away from the actual skill of the game, it takes a roster spot away from a more talented player and makes shitheads like P.J. Stock be beloved by assholes. We watched the Juniors finals, and not only was it an awesome game, it was that way because they focused more on the game rather than revenge, big hits, fighting, ect....

Not only is it retarded to have two men, stop a game for a 3 second fight, but it is also pretty dangerous. (Don't start calling me a pussy for that statement either) Someone could die for no fucking reason, and then what happens to hockey? Even in the NHL rules it fosters the removal of a helmet during a fight by giving a player an extra minor penalty for not removing his visor. Doesn't that sound stupid, someone could get seriously injured if they wack their head on the ice. I know it's a physical game, and players take the risk, but why add to an already tough sport.

Now to a blow out game when all that happens is fights? Do people actually enjoy that? I don't think so.

Also, all hockey fans are racists.
